| Access: | Take I-15 to Baker. Exit east on Kelbaker Road. Watch for unsigned sandy road under the cinder cones. 4 wheel drive is REQUIRED to reach this site. | |||||
| Facilities: | Just a wide flat spot on a dirt road with a campfire ring. No water, No facilities. | |||||
| Season: | Open year round. VERY hot in summer. | |||||

| Nearby Hiking Trails: | Across the wash, hike cross country into the cinder pits and basalt lava flows. Watch for openings into the underground lava tubes. | |||||
| Nearby 4x4 Trails: | Numerous unnamed dirt and sand 4x4 trails. The Mojave Road passes nearby this campsite. | |||||
| Comments: | This is one of my favorite spots in the National Preserve. Shrubs alongside the wash provide a little shade, and after a rain, the wash fills and runs for several hours. | |||||
