Nearby 4x4 Trails: Thomas Mountain Road is located just southeast of the lake. The road leads to Thomas Mountain and continues to Toolbox Springs, and downward eventually ending in the pine measdows of Garner Valley. Many smaller 4x4 trails branch off at various points.
Comments: No swimming or wading allowed at the lake. Motorboat and rowboat rentals are available. This place has a lot of fees and a lot of rules, so if you are just going for the day to fish, try the north shore where the US Forest service operates a free day-use.
