Location: San Diego County

Access: I-8 east past El Cajon, to Buckman Springs Road south, to Lake Morena Drive.

Facilities: 86 sites, 58 with water and electrical hookups. Some cabins available. Restrooms, showers, picnic area, boat rentals, fishing.

Season: Open Year Round.

Fees: $12 to $15 per night, call for reservations 877-565-3600 or 858-565-3600.

Nearby Hiking Trails: Wards Flats Trail starts near boat launch ramps, leads to Morena Butte Trail and Hauser Overlook Trail. The park also has access to Pacific Crest Trail and its own nature trail near the park entrance.

Nearby 4X4 Trails: None within the park.
