Location: Santa Ana Mountains

Access: The beach is three miles south of San Clemente on I-5. Exit at Basilone Road, follow signs to campground.

Facilities: Two campgrounds, one on the bluffs, another 1/2 miles inland along San Mateo creek.

Season: Open year round. Reservations REQUIRED all year. Bluff campground has NO hookups, San Mateo has water and electricity (no sewer hookups).

Fees: Without hookups, $16 to $21, with hookups $25 to $30.

Nearby Hiking Trails: Numerous trails. Dirt trails from bluff area to beach may be quite steep.

Nearby 4X4 Trails: None within park.
