Southern California Camping (www.SoCalCamping.com) is an online guide
to the recreational areas in the San Bernardino, San Jacinto and Santa Rosa
Mountains, the Cleveland National Forest, and the Mojave, Joshua Tree and
and Anza Borrego Deserts.
Our site brings people in, and brings them back, with rich content. The website
features up-to-the-minute Southern California weather forecasts, road conditions
and gas prices, tide tables and a discussion forum, but our main content is a
searchable database of public campgrounds, hiking trails, fishing spots,
birdwatching areas, wildflower viewing locations, ghost towns and off-roading trails.
Typically, the website receives an average of 90000 page views per month.
During the peak summer camping season, this usually jumps to 150000
page views by over 50000 visitors. This traffic continues to increase each month as
we advertise and promote the site. Our Google™ Pagerank currently stands at 5.
Our surveys find we have a highly targeted web audience, with over 57% of our visitors
being in the Los Angeles area, and over 14% in neighboring San Diego. Another 12% are
scattered around California, with the balance arriving from the rest of the country.
In addition to camping, 59% of our users list hiking as another interest,
and 50% list fishing. Other hobbies include boating, travel, horseback riding,
and offroad vehicles.
Our rates are very competitive and we may assist you in
banner ad creation if needed. Two advertising options
are available:
1. A Banner ad appearing at the top of various pages
of the website (such as the one at the top of this page)
is available. The ads rotate between all our advertisers.
This type of advertisment is invoiced at $40.00
per month. Included with the invoice is a report
detailing the number of impressions per day during
the run of the ad.
2. We also offer 'Retailer Showcase Ads'. These are
static, non-rotating spots and have no advertising
impression limits, you receive all traffic in that
section for the month you advertise. There are nine
'Things to DO' sections to choose from:

For example, if you sell bait and fishing tackle,
you could place an ad in the fishing section. While
these sections receive less traffic than the front
page, they are also much more targeted; that is,
you know *everyone* that visits the fishing section
will be interested in bait and tackle!
Your 120x240 verticle banner ad will appear
along the right side of the main page for whichever section
you have selected. Orders are filled on
first come first serve basis. This type of ad is
invoiced at a flat fee of $50.00/month.
