Disclaimer
We strongly advise you to get outside more often. However, Socalcamping takes NO responsibility for your safety, because, quite frankly, every time you
open your front door and step into the outdoors, you take your life in your own hands. The weather, topography, and wild animals ARE trying to
kill you. Death lurks behind every bush! You might get struck by lightning, plunge into a mine shaft, step over a cliff (no handrails out here, folks), bit by a
snake or spider or bear, crushed by falling rock, swept away in a flood, burned by wildfire or frozen by blizzard, eaten by
mountain lions, or shot by bandits. I'm totally serious. Some of these things have nearly happened to me... more than once!
Because outdoor conditions can change rapidly (and often quite dramatically!) you may find the conditions on any road, trail or campsite are very
different from the descriptions given on this website. Sometimes long periods go by between the time our web pages are updated, so be prepared to make
alternate plans. Our information is generally reliable, but certainly not guarranteed, so use our travel guides at your own risk. Plan ahead, do
some research and make sure you have a map and compass and plenty of backbone, because I'm not going to come rescue you, your passengers or your vehicles. Whenever
possible, call the managing agency for a current update before you travel. And carry an extra pair of dry socks, just in case.
In fact, now that we think about, we strongly advise you to stay home and watch TV.
