Kelso

Name: Kelso

Location: Take I-15 north to 40 east. Exit north on Kelbaker Road, proceed about 26 miles to Kelso.

Access: Paved roads, 2wd vehicles OK.

Comments: Originally a railroad stop, Gold, silver and iron were found later. The train depot and post office have been restored, the rest of the town is pretty much ruins. Kelso is in the heart of the East Mohave Scenic Area. The famous 'Kelso Dunes' are located north of here.
