Lost Horse Mine Trail Name: Lost Horse Mine Trail General Location: Joshua Tree Nat'l Park Starts at: 33°57'02"N, 116°09'24"W Ends at: 33°56'28"N, 116°08'11"W Elevation Gain: 480 ft Comments: 4 miles (round trip) from the parking area. The Lost Horse Mine was in operation from 1895 until about 1905. This is one of the best preserved mine sites in the park. Horses are allowed on this trail, but bicyles are prohibited.
