Holcomb Valley

Trailhead Access: Take I-10 (Hwy 330) to Running Springs, CA, (State Hwy 18) to Big Bear Lake Dam (State Hwy 38). Do not cross the dam, continue on the north shore of Big Bear lake, all the way east to the north end of Baldwin Lake.
Total Distance: 10.07 miles
Elevation Gain/loss: Low point: 6736 feet, High point: 7533 feet
Starts at: 34°17'38"N, 116°48'49"W
Ends at: 34°15'58"N, 116°51'19"W
Comments: This well maintained trail starts at the intersection of Holcomb Valley Road and Hwy 18 at the north end of Baldwin lake, and heads west 7.5 miles to Holcomb Valley. From Hwy 18, head northwest .62 miles to the ruins of Doble, a 19th century mining camp. Continue another 1.8 miles to the intersection of 3N69, which heads south over Gold Mountain and down to Big Bear City. Continue west , just before reaching Holcomb Valley Campground, turn south on Van Dusen Road (3N09) which takes you 4 miles back down to Big Bear Lake. US Forest Service rates this trail as Easy.
