High Point / Palomar Trail

Name: High Point Truck Trail / Palomar Divide Road General Location: Cleveland National Forest Difficulty: Easy / Moderate. Starts at: 33°26'25"N, 116°51'26"W Ends at: 33°19'51"N, 116°42'33"W Elevation Gain: Starts at 2000 ft, climbs to 6100 ft and drops back to 3044 ft at the end of the 17.5 mile trail.

Comments: Take your best route to Temecula, and head north on Hwy 79. Just past Aguanga, turn south and climb the High Point truck trail. Near the intersection of 9S07 is the High Point lookout tower. The view is worth the climb, although you cant get all the way to the top. Continue east on the Palomar divide, eventually descending back to Hwy 79.
