Trip Report - April 2005
Where: Stone creek - San Jacinto Mountains
When: April 23-24, 2005
Who: 11 people in 4 vehicles

We proceeded cautiously down the fire road. There were a few muddy spots and some good ruts, but overall the road was in fair shape for a truck trail after such a long, hard winter.
The forest here is a mix of pine, cedar, fir and oak. The forest floor is mainly Manzinita and grasses.
The spot we wanted was taken (all remote camping is "first come, first serve"), so we headed back up the road about a mile to a clearing on the ridgeline. Parking was a little bit cramped...
We had some light rain on Sunday morning, but generally a good time was had by all...
