SoCalCamping hosts a trip at least once every month to some of the best
campgrounds in southern California. Some trips are to fully developed campgrounds, others to remote spots. Some require 4 wheel drive, others are accessable by any vehicle, but all offer a great way to enjoy a weekend in the backcountry of California. Here is a schedule of our upcoming trips:

When: 6/23/2006Where: Los Prietos Campground
Price: $20Number of people already signed up: 12
This trip must have at least 3 participants to occur.
Come join us for a weekend of camping at Los Prietos Campground in the beautiful Santa Ynez Recreational Area near Santa Barbara. We have 3 sites reserved with a maximum of 24 people allowed. There are two cars allowed per campsite and the approx fee will be $20 per person total for the weekend. This amount can go up or down depending on how many people sign up. The first 24 to sign up are sure to get a spot. This campground is located off Paradise Road just 14 miles inland from Santa Barbara and is off a paved road so it is accessible to all and is easy to find. We plan on arriving Friday June 23th, some during the day and some can come up in the evening, or even Saturday morning. This is a developed campground with fire rings, water, picnic tables and flush toilets. It is set under lots of shady oaks and what is special about this area is the excellent river access with wonderful swimming holes to beat the summer heat. There is also fishing, nature trails and hiking nearby. Side trips can be Lake Cachuma, Santa Barbara, and the charming town of Solvang if desired. The average temps are mid 80s in the day and low 60s at night, perfect camping weather! Please RSVP soon as this event may fill up quickly. The pre-trip meeting for this trip will be posted soon and is manditory for new members unless special arrangments are made. Please contact the Organizer with any questions.  More Info
